Bryceville is the only branch with Saturday hours in the library system’s published schedule. The county says it will close October 29. What will replace the room, the computers and the weekend access?

Lower tax rate, reduced services

The county says commissioners adopted the FY 2026–27 budget on September 28. Its October 5 summary lists reduced library hours, the end of voluntary nonprofit grants, and less routine drainage and roadside mowing. A lower millage rate does not establish that every property’s bill will fall.
